Tennessee Titans at New Orleans Saints
Vince Young - 14/22, 164 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT, 5/21. Young looked oustanding despite the lack of yardage, running when necessary, but hanging tough in the pocket most of the evening and looking to make the throw. His WRs still suck and he played an easy offense last night, but he's borderline QB1 material.
Drew Brees - 29/45, 225 yards, 0 TD, 4 INT, 1/9, 1 FL. Hot vomit. He completely fell apart in the 2nd half, turning the ball over 4 times in the 4th quarter as the Saints tried to play catchup. Luckily the Saints have a bye next week, so you won't have to worry about whether to give him another chance until week 5. Don't give up on him and sell low as I fully believe that Payton will get the offense moving in the right direction after the bye week.
LenDale White - 17/50, 1/10, 1 TD. LenDale White is fat, and he runs like it too. He definitely runs with power, but lacks explosiveness. He should remain a solid source of TDs and is a quality RB3. Chris Brown (11/38) will receive less and less work, but will remain a factor on 3rd downs.
Deuce McAllister - 4/5, 1/1. Deuce tore his ACL yesterday evening and is out for the season. It's a terrible break for Deuce as this is now twice in 3 years that this has happened to one of the great guys in the NFL. Here's to a quick recovery, but his career is in question.
Reggie Bush - 7/15, 6/20, 2 TD. Another dismal yardage production from Bush, but thanks to Deuce's injury, he cashed in on two 1 yard TD runs. He still dances way too much and doesn't run with authority, but he'll get more carries and more time on the field now that Deuce is out. I wouldn't go crazy yet given this, but Bush has a chance to live up to his draft status. Payton will have a bye week to re-tool the offense and prepare for football without Deuce.
Brandon Jones - 4/73, 1 TD. He remains the most talented WR on the Titans and is a fantasy factor. He's best as the WR5 he was likely drafted as, but he possess upside and should emerge as a solid bye-week replacement.
Bo Scaife - 3/26, 1 TD. I expected a little more out of him so far, but he made a nice TD catch and remains the top TE on the team as Troupe remains buried behind him. He's not a bad TE2.
Marques Colston - 4/68. He finally made a nice play downfield as Brees hooked up with him on a 37 yard pass in the 1st half, but he again remains a victim of the poor Saints offense. He was likely drafted as a WR1, but he's better as a lower tier WR2 until the Saints get it turned around. His skills haven't gone anywhere, but he's likely having trouble adjusting to being the focal point of defenses with Joe Horn gone. He should rebound.
