Brett Favre Says He Will Not Return
Breaking news has Brett Favre informing Vikings' team officials that he will not return this season, citing his ankle as a continued problem. Given this is Brett Favre and how he loves to change his mind to keep himself in the media, I'm sure this isn't the last of the story. For the sake of fantasy football, however, all Vikings outside of Adrian Peterson need to be immediately downgraded until this situation is figured out. Sidney Rice was already overrated because of his continued hip problems, but this will affect Harvin, Berrian, and Shiancoe quite a bit as well should Favre not play. Rice is somewhere between a WR2/3 now, Harvin is a risky WR3, and Berrian is nothing more than a late flier. I was already avoiding Shiancoe as anything other than a TE2, and I wouldn't bother drafting him at all now. Adrian Peterson will resume being the sole focal point of the offense, so I would still take him in the top two picks.
