The Cleveland Browns have benched QB Derek Anderson and will start QB Brady Quinn in week 10.
This was the risk is drafting Derek Anderson, so I hope those of you who did have stashed Quinn. If not, you'll be joining the waiver wire race to acquire him.
Fantasy Impact: Quinn makes a solid QB1 play this week against the disgusting Denver defense, and he should have no problem acclimating himself with the talent around him in Braylon Edwards and Kellen Winslow. He doesn't possess the huge arm like Derek Anderson does, but he will unquestionable make better decisions and improve all skill players in the Browns offense. For Braylon Edwards owners, you can view this situation like Lee Evans owners this offseason. Anderson, like JP Losman, had a big arm but made terrible decisions, so it was big play or bust for Edwards/Evans. Quinn, like Trent Edwards, will get the ball to Edwards more consistently, which will make up for lesser big plays. Now if only Edwards could catch...
Winslow is a big winner here. Quinn should excel in the intermediate game, and that's Winslow's bread and butter. Jamal Lewis should see more scoring chances.
