2010 RB5 Value Analysis

I'm going to highlight a few guys you should keep an eye on with a flier RB5 pick rather than list everyone:

Arian Foster - Foster should start moving up the ADP ranks, but he's the Houston starter and will need to play himself out of that position.  While he doesn't have a lot of job security thanks to the presence of 2nd round pick Ben Tate, Tate's offseason injury has allowed Foster to impress the coaching staff.  He looked good in the first 2 weeks of 2009, and he's continued that with an impressive offseason.  It's rare you can land a potential starting RB this late, so I would be all over Foster as a RB4/5.

Marshawn Lynch - If he stays in Buffalo, he's worth stashing should something happen to Fred Jackson as Lynch would start over Spiller, but if he's traded, he could get a crack at a bigger role.  Monitor to see if he changes teams before week 1.

Leon Washington - Keep an eye on his health.  If he looks explosive this fall, he's worth a flier while the Seattle RB situation sorts itself out.  He'll have a role if he can still move well.

Tashard Choice - If Barber isn't effective anymore, Choice will likely assume his role.  Felix Jones is not a 20-25 carry back, so he's a decent speculatory pick.

Arian Foster - Foster has a true chance to start in week 1 for Houston, and if he plays well, he's going to stay starting.  Given the explosiveness of Houston's offense, Foster is well worth a flier.

Derrick Ward - I think he'll end up with more fantasy value than Cadillac Williams.  Don't forget about him.

Toby Gerhart/Bernard Scott/Javon Ringer/Jason Snelling - Pure backups to early RB selections.
